We provide free horse racing form ratings for over 25,000 racehorses running in the UK and Ireland. Ratings cover Flat, All-Weather and National Hunt (Chase & Hurdles) racing.

Ratings will typically be published on a weekly basis and, when time allows, we will provide midweek updates and selected ratings for the days racing.

How we Calculate  our Ratings

The ratings are computer generated using code and algorithms which have been exclusively developed over the last 4-5 years.  

An initial classification is allotted to each race result which is then further adjusted to take into account race times and prior and subsequent form. As such, the ratings are dynamic and will change as form lines evolve.

Analysis of over 17000 races in 2024/25 found that approaching 40% of all races were won by one or other of the top two rated in each race, over 50% of races were won by one or other of the top three rated. One or other of the top two rated were placed in around 70% of races.

As part of our analysis, we also identify the race conditions (Going & Distance) where each horse has ran up to its best form and similarly the type of course (Orientation & Type - Galloping or Specialist) that appears to best suit.

The ratings, which are free and available to download, can be used to supplement your own evaluation of horse racing form, or perhaps as the basis for developing your own handicap ratings.
